As an administrative intern at the Great River Shakespeare Festival, you will have the opportunity to:
- gain arts administration experience working in the main office of a professional theatre organization
- tackle collaborative and individual projects
- work with arts administrators from all over the country
Assist the Advancement/Community Development Coordinator with various aspects of fundraising and event-coordinating. Likely tasks include database management, event planning, making and answering phone calls, and administrative tasks.
Assist the public relations and marketing director with daily tasks. Likely projects include drafting and proofreading press releases, attending media events and interviews, and general administrative tasks.
Assist company manager with all daily tasks, including but not limited to arranging artist travel, assisting with move-in and move-out of company housing, and mail delivery.
Take ticket orders over the phone, online and in person, interact with patrons, and assist box office manager with administrative tasks.
