Celebrate the 4th with GRSF

The Daly News opens on July 4th

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than by seeing Jonathan Gillard Daly’s original musical about life on the home front during WWII? With music by Gregg Coffin and Larry Delinger inspired by music of the 40′s, you can bring the whole family and stay for our 4th of July Celebration: a free concert, grilling and a reading of the Declaration of Independence, all on the WSU Green (map). This man is an American treasure. We’re lucky that we had Marines like Darol Lee and so many others who served so valiantly in the battle for Iwo Jima. He seems a very humble man, but the heroic deeds that he did for his fellow Marines on that island all those years ago, and for all of America should never be forgotten. Wow, what a wonderful play. Great change from the sometimes hard to understand Shakespeare. Don’t get me wrong I love Shakespeare too. The Comedy of Errors is a wonderful play with Will’s love of mistaken identity. Othello’s Iago is a great example of a demon in human form.
