David Lee Echelard received his MFA in Early Music Performance, from Sarah Lawrence College. While living in New York City as an early music specialist, he performed and recorded with Pomerium Musices, The Taverner Consort, New York Schola Antiqua and the Baltimore Consort. David has appeared at the Holland Early Music Festival, The Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and performed in a Medieval Drama and a Gregorian Chant ensemble at the South Bank Center in London. He also has premiered and performed several new music operas and compositions in New York City; Boston; Minneapolis; Austin, Texas; Hamburg, Germany; and Winona Mn. Mr. Echelard serves as voice educator and Director of Polyphonic music for the Latin Mass at the Society of Saint Pius X, Saint Thomas Aquinas Seminary, artistic director of the “Blue Heron Consort” (a community early music vocal and instrumental ensemble in Winona, MN), “Hurly Burly” (a French traditional music ensemble) and the “Hot Fish Consort (a new music ensemble). David chooses to live in Winona, Minnesota, and is a freelance vocalist, performer, and professor of the Humanities at Minnesota State College Southeast.
