Maria W. Faust Annual Sonnet Contest
The Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest Reception will be the closing Front Porch Event on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in the Winona State University Science Atrium. Mark your calendar to join us that day for a reading of this year’s winning sonnets and meet some of the poets. (The reception is a free event.)
This summer, Winona State University and the Great River Shakespeare Festival are excited to bring together Shakespeare scholars and GRSF practitioners for extended public conversations about Twelfth Night (July 13th) and King Henry V (July 20th) from 10:30am–1:30pm. Shakespeare Unlocked is part of our Front Porch Event Series. Tickets must be reserved in advance at a cost of $15. This is a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of professional theatre artists and to interact with various experts in the field of Shakespearean scholarship.
Company members introduce you to the exciting process behind the scenes in these informative question-and-answer sessions. Conversations take place in the Performing Arts Center immediately following every Thursday night performance.
Join Festival artists and guests for coffee and an informal, lively discussion about the season’s plays and the creative process on Sunday mornings July 7 through August 4, 2013, from 11 – 12pm at the WSU Science Atrium, on the campus of Winona State University.
