Chill with Will

A student-focused opportunity to see a Shakespeare play at no cost with pre and post-show programming focused on teens and pre-teens.

Free Previews

GRSF has been committed to the accessibility and affordability of theater tickets since its inception. The free preview program, launched in 2012, offers the public the opportunity to see both Professional Company productions one time at no cost. There will also be a free preview of our Intern/Apprentice Project. Learn more here.

Front Porch Events

A film from the Frozen River Film Festival, Shakespeare Unlocked, Dr. Peter Saccio, Gale Childs Daly, and the Annual Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest Reception — all held on Festival Saturday mornings at 10:30am. (Some events require tickets.)

Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest

GRSF is proud to feature its fifth annual sonnet contest.  Call to those interested to come and read their sonnets.  Poet Laureate of Winona Emilio DeGrazia will give some tips about writing sonnets.  It will be loud, noisy and fun.  Free and open to the public!  The Sonnet Contest Tip-Off will be held June 26th from 7-9pm at Mugby of Huff St. Winners will be announced at a reception to be held on Saturday, August 4 at 11:00am at Merchants Bank. Narrated Set Changeover

See the GRSF crews in action with a guide to answer your questions in the Performing Arts Center on the WSU Campus. Saturdays July 7 & 14 at 4:30pm and July 21 & 28 at 5:00pm. FREE

Preshow Conversations

An introduction to the play from the GRSF education staff. Offered at 7:00pm each Saturday in July. FREE (with a ticket to the show)

Tours of the Trees

WSU’s campus contains all the native trees of Minnesota. See them in this tour. Meet at the Gazebo. Offered at 12:30pm each Saturday in July. — FREE
