Lead Teacher – Apprentice Program

Jess Shoemaker is a director, playwright, and educator who believes in strong female protagonists, humor and poetry. She graduated from Webster University in 2010 with a B.F.A. in Acting and is currently pursuing her MFA in Directing at UT Austin. She is the co-director of the GRSF Apprentice Actor Program and co-founder of (re)discover theatre in Chicago, IL. Her plays, Jason & (Medea) and 50 Shades of Shakespeare were both nominated for encore performances and best ensemble at the Los Angeles Fringe Festival.
