Marissa Alejandra Diaz was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Tech and Design at The University of Texas at El Paso. She is currently entering her third year as a graduate lighting student at The University of California – Irvine pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree. Recent works at UC Irvine include Plumas Negras, New Slate (2018), and I Dream of Chang and Eng. She is delighted to be working with Great River Shakespeare Festival this summer.
