Grilling on the Green

Every Friday & Saturday evening during the festival, grilled brats and corn will be available for sale on the green thanks to our friends at Mugby Junction. Come hear the concert and enjoy a great Minnesota picnic.

A small oversight in our season brochure might convey the impression that our friends at Mugby Junction are offering their traditional Friday and Saturday grilling on the green for free. Our concerts (co-sponsored by Theatre du Mississippi) are free; but for only a couple of bucks, you can enjoy some delicious grilled chicken, brats, corn-on-the-cob, and lemonade while you take in the free concert and the pre-performance festival ambience.

Also…although our AfterWill parties are, indeed, free, if you plan to attend (and we hope you will), a donation to help defray our hosts’ costs is greatly appreciated ($25 suggested contribution).

Festival Mornings

Join Festival artists and guests for coffee and an informal, lively discussion about the season’s plays and the creative process on Saturday mornings from 10 – 11 AM at the Acoustic Cafe in downtown Winona (map).

Join us on Sunday mornings at 11 for discussions and presentations on a variety of Shakespeare-related topics. Click here for more information.

on wed july 13th i enjoyed your program “The Fantasticks” very much. having played luisa 40 years ago in a carleton college production in northfield, minnesota – i was in reminiscent bliss throughout the matinee. Ahh the innocence of youth, the dangers of the ‘world’ and a happy ending with a dose of real-life learning ……….. not to mention – the iced coffee was delicious. thank you to all !!! lindalee

We’re so glad you enjoyed the show. The Fantasticks is a beautiful play that seems to change as we see it from different perspectives in our lives. Hope to see you back at GRSF.
