Winona hosts first state Legacy weekend (07/21/2010)
By Cynthya Porter for The Winona PostThe Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment was adopted by Minnesota voters in the fall of 2008 as a means of land, water and arts conservation. Through designated agencies, grants are being made towards these efforts, with additional funds slated to be granted in the future. In Winona, the Great River Shakespeare Festival, the Winona County Historical Society, arts and conservation groups and Visit Winona have partnered to compile a full slate of weekend activities.
