The Daly News – Opening performance, 3:00pm

The four sons and a son-in-law of Martin Daly, a successful and well-known Milwaukee banker, served in both theaters of combat during World War II. Daly’s weekly newsletter, “The Daly News,” composed and published from the basement of ‘the family manse,’ linked the Dalys’ extended family and friends during this trying time in our country’s history, and became the basis for GRSF resident company member Jonathan Gillard Daly’s humorous and touching musical memoir about his family. The Daly News played a sold-out benefit performance in 2009, and is back for an extended run in 2010, beginning Sunday, July 4.
