Are you ready to discover “What Love Dares” with GRSF this season? Make plans to join GRSF for their Will’s Opening Weekend, or WOW festivities!
- On Friday, June 26, we kick off our free Concerts on the Green series with Simon Perrin featuring Dan Chouinard from 5:00-7:00 p.m. All concerts are held on the Winona State University Green (inside the WSU Science Atrium in the case of inclement weather). They’re the perfect place to gather for a meal from one of the local food vendors on hand, soak in some great music and enjoy the GRSF community before the show!
- This year we’re bringing back the audience acclaimed Pre-Show Conversations a half hour before every performance. Perfect for anyone who’s a little (or a lot) unfamiliar with the plays, the Pre-Show Conversations are led by the Assistant Directors and ease audience members into the world of the play a little at a time, complete with character photo map and tutorial handout.
- Following the opening night of Much Ado About Nothing at 7:30 p.m., everyone is invited to celebrate opening night with the GRSF company! This year our first WOW bash will be held at the WSU Science Atrium, just steps away from the theater. You don’t need a WOW button to get in–just keep your ticket stub from the performance, and your cover charge is only $5 ($10 for those not attending opening). Enjoy Vintage Rock music by GRSF company favorites “The Old Fashioneds,” and delicious treats from Steak Shop Catering. A cash bar will be available.
- On Saturday, June 27 the Dixieland Jazz Festival takes over the WSU Green from noon until 7:00 p.m., and at 7:30 p.m. we open Tennessee Williams’ American Classic The Glass Menagerie.
You can still get tickets to opening weekend if you hurry! Purchase online or contact the GRSF Box Office Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
