Now that this years’ Shakespeare in the Schools program has completed, GRSF’s Education team are moving on to planning for the summer! Our Education program here at the festival continues to grow, and this year we have some exciting new offerings. Read on to learn what’s in store for Season 15!
GRSF at the Winona Public Library
Following our birthday event for the Bard on Sunday, April 22nd (details here), Education Director Carrie Nath will be working with the Winona Public Library to celebrate National Talk Like Shakespeare Day with the Youth Services department. Captain Puck will draw on all the best fairies from Shakespeare’s canon and with their assistance use Shakespearean insults to defeat the evil Ogre of Doom! You can learn more about this FREE event on Monday, April 23rd here.
Pay-What-You-WILL Front Porch Events
New this year, all Front Porch Events are Pay-What-You Will and do not require a ticket to be purchased in advance. All contributions can be made at the door. Front Porch Events will be on Saturday mornings at 11:00 a.m., as they have been in the past. This year, however, all Front Porch Events will take place in the Dorothy B. Magnus Black Box Theater in the WSU Performing Arts Center – no more traipsing across campus from one building to another!
