Covid Guidelines

GRSF follows the masking and vaccination requirements of Winona State University which are set by the Minnesota State Chancellor. The most updated information is available at https://www.minnstate.edu/coronavirus/index.html. Currently, masks and vaccines are not required inside WSU buildings, however we do encourage our audiences to wear masks as an added protection to the community and our performers.

$12 Tuesdays

IT’S BACK. Every Tuesday, all seats cost only $12 thanks to a grant from WNB Financial! These tickets can be reserved in advance online, by phone, or in person at the Box Office. These performances sell out quickly, so be sure to get your tickets early! Please note: $12 Tuesday tickets are available to single ticket buyers only. They cannot be combined with a Season Pass discount.

accessibility

If you need assistance getting into your seat or into the PAC, please contact the Box Office prior to the performance, or find an usher to assist you. Fully accessible seating is available by contacting the Box Office. GRSF staff are happy to make your trip to the theater as enjoyable as possible. If you need accommodations such as a breastfeeding/pump area, audio description, space for a service animal, assistance with mobility/cane, or anything else, please contact the box office at 507.474.7900. GRSF works to ensure all patrons can enjoy the theater.

ACCESSIBLE AND FIDGET-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES

All Friday Matinee 1pm performances will be interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL) and audio-described live for the blind (via cell-phone app and headphones). Additionally, Friday matinees will have adjustments to accommodate those who may struggle to sit quietly through an entire performance or who have sensory concerns. Accommodations include priority seating with easy access to the exits, provided space to safely stand in the aisles, increased audience lighting, introduction to sudden sounds and lighting effects, and a live video feed in the lobby. Those who would benefit are encouraged to discuss their needs with the box office so that special seating requests can be accommodated. Visit or call the Box Office 507-474-7900.

children

We recommend that our performances are suitable to theater-goers age 11 and up. Some shows can include stage violence and/or content that requires the discretion of the parent or guardian. All children in attendance are required to have a ticket. Absolutely no children under the age of 6 are allowed in the theater during professional performances. Please contact the Box Office with questions.

‘CHILL WITH WILL’ - FOR STUDENTS AGE 11-18 - FREE!

Students age 11-18 can enroll in a FREE workshop prior to each Friday afternoon performance. The festival’s education team will guide them through theater games and activities related to the show. Past experiences have included a Shakespeare’s text workshop, backstage tour, and narrated fight call. Chill with Will participants will then receive FREE tickets to the afternoon show. Guardians wishing to accompany a student must purchase a ticket, but will receive a discounted rate of $20. Reserve tickets HERE.

exchanging tickets

GRSF is happy to accommodate changes. If at all possible, contact the Box Office 24 hours prior to the scheduled performance. Exchanges are subject to availability. In the event you cannot use your tickets, you may call the Box Office to donate them back to the theater; this will count as a tax-deductible donation.

electronic devices

Sounds and light from electronic devices are extremely disruptive to other audience members and performers. Please refrain from using any devices during a performances, and make sure all devices are turned off or silenced.

fees

Our ticketing fees are as follows:

Mailing Fee: $1 per order - This fee will be charged if you choose to have your tickets mailed to you.

Restoration Fee: $2 per ticket - This fee contributes to WSU’s campaign to raise money for essential upgrades to the WSU Performing Arts Center’s stage.

Order Fee $5 per order - This fee is attached to any order placed over the phone or online. This fee is not charged for in-person ticket purchases.

food and beverage

A variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in the lobby prior to the performance and during intermission. No food or beverages are allowed in the theater. Please note: alcohol is not allowed on the WSU Campus.

groups

GRSF loves groups! Whether you are bringing students or taking a trip for entertainment, we’re happy to cater to your specific needs. Groups of 10 or more receive ticket discounts. Click here for more information.

INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS

Are you a designer, director, technician or actor visiting the festival? Or perhaps a theater educator looking to see a show and learn more about the programs we offer to students? We offer discounted tickets to visiting professionals in the theater industry. late seating

Please plan to arrive early for your performance. Guests arriving after the start of a performance will be seated at the discretion of House Management staff.

lobby hours

The lobby is open 90 minutes before a performance. Seating begins 30 minutes prior to showtime.

lost and found

Please turn any found items over the the Box Office. If you have lost something, stop by or call the Box Office at 507-474-7900.

pay-what-you-will previews

All tickets are Pay-What-You-Will, where you get to choose the price that works best for you. Call the Box Office 507-474-7900 to reserve or purchase at the door.

Please note: You can also order online, however all online PWYW tickets are set at $15 for adults, $5 for students.

performance venue

The Winona State Performing Arts Center (450 Johnson Street, Winona MN 55987) is an indoor performance space. This means we are happily climate controlled. Some audience members find themselves chilly in the theater, so please bring a wrap if you are sensitive to air-conditioned temperatures.

PRE-SHOW conversations (‘know before you go’)

Beginning approximately 30 minutes prior to every single performance, pre-show conversations give audience members a chance to get acclimated to the world of the play, the characters and Shakespeare’s language. Great for people new to GRSF and returning Shakespeare fans!

refunds

Monetary refunds are not part of GRSF’s ticket policy. Every effort will be made to assist patrons in attending an alternate performance. In the event you cannot use your tickets, you may call the Box Office to donate them back to the theater; this will count as a tax-deductible donation.

restrooms

Restrooms are located in the Performing Arts Center lobby.

STUDENT RUSH TICKETS

Students with a valid ID have the opportunity to purchase $5 rush tickets at the walk-up window. These cannot be reserved in advance and will only be made available 15 minutes before curtain. Student rush ticket purchasers will be seated in the best available seats. Student rush tickets are available to all school-age youth and adults with a valid student ID. In person only at the Box Office.

ticket pick-up (will call)

Tickets will be available at the Will Call window in the Performing Arts Center Lobby beginning 90 minutes before each performance. You may also pick up your tickets in advance at the Downtown Office location at 163 E 2nd Street, Winona. The Downtown Office is open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm.

Please note: The Box Office in the PAC Lobby cannot print tickets for future performances during will call. You may stop at the Box Office during intermission for additional ticket assistance.

season passes

Season Passes include one ticket to each professional show of the summer season. The pass holder is responsible for contacting the Box Office to reserve their seats for the date of the performance that they wish to see. This must be done over the phone, in person, or via email. Please note - Season Pass discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts.

smoking

Winona State University is a smoke-free campus. Smoking on campus grounds is strictly prohibited.
